Madison County Corporation for Economic Development Receives $10,000 Grant from SBC Foundation
Funding to Support Marketing Program to Increase Employment in Madison County

The SBC Foundation has awarded the Corporation for Economic Development (CED) with a $10,000 grant to support a focused community marketing program to increase employment in Madison County.
The funds will be used to design, produce and distribute three brochures that highlight the benefits of Madison County to companies in the advanced manufacturing, customer service operations and integrated logistics industries. This project is part of a larger marketing program aimed at attracting, expanding and retaining business investment and job creation in Madison County.

"The SBC Foundation grant will assist us in our efforts to increase employment in Madison County," said John Hagen, executive director, Corporation for Economic Development. "For 15 years, we have waged a war on economic attrition in Madison County. Through our efforts we have been able to help create and retain more than 7,500 jobs. This grant will help us move toward a new level of marketing sophistication that combines direct mail, telemarketing and the Internet."
