Paramount joins BT Vision download store

Paramount joins BT Vision download store

BT Vision today announced that it has signed a new deal with Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment to make around 150 films distributed by Paramount available from the BT Vision Download Store (www.downloadstore.bt.com). BT Vision Download Store is an online video store available to all UK broadband customers, regardless of which internet service provider they use.

Download Store users will now be able to download and own current and classic titles distributed by Paramount including Babel, An Inconvenient Truth and the Star Trek series and watch them on PCs and portable devices.

From horror to heartache and adventure to arthouse, BT Vision Download Store users can buy from a catalogue of hundreds of classic and newly released titles including many of the greatest films, television and music programming, at prices starting from under £1. Recent releases include Jack Snyder’s acclaimed 300 and Steven Soderburgh’s The Good German, as well as classics, lifestyles and arthouse shorts such as Su Turhan’s Gone Underground, all available with digitally-perfect picture resolution and sound.

Marc Watson, commercial director at BT Vision, said: “Paramount is a great name in the entertainment business and we know that there will be considerable demand for its films. Offering Paramount’s titles makes BT Vision Download Store an even more compelling proposition.”

“This deal with BT is an exciting next step in broadening Paramount’s digital footprint across Europe” said Tom Lesinski, president, Paramount Digital Entertainment. “Finding great organisations who are doing exciting things in digital distribution is a cornerstone of our growth and strategy. I‘m confident that the inclusion of Paramount’s strong line up of new movies, combined with classics from the catalogue will make BT Vision even more exciting to its customers.”
