Get Lost and Desperate Housewives on demand, says BT Vision

BT Vision customers will receive a further boost to their on-demand TV entertainment with a range of programming from Disney-ABC International Television, it was announced today.

The deal with Disney-ABC International Television will bring BT Vision viewers on-demand access to many of the most popular current and classic US TV series, including: Lost, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Dirt, Alias, Criminal Minds, According To Jim and My Wife and Kids, all produced by ABC Studios. In total the deal means that over 650 new episodes will be available on demand to BT Vision’s customers, for rental in a post-DVD window.

All programming on BT Vision is available to customers on demand. Customers can either rent Disney programming on a pay-per-view basis or get unlimited access to it as part of the £6 per month TV Pack subscription or the £14 Value Pack subscription including TV, Music, Kids and Replay Packs.

Dan Marks, BT Vision’s chief executive, said: "We are continuing to develop the quality and quantity of BT Vision’s programming offering and we are very pleased to bring Disney-ABC International Television’s outstanding TV series to our customers for the first time.

"So many of these series, such as Lost and Desperate Housewives, continue to catch the imagination of viewers and media alike and now all these series will be available to BT Vision customers whenever they want to see them."

Jim Brehm, senior vice president, Sales, Disney-ABC International Television EMEA said: "We're pleased to be building upon our established relationship with BT Vision, to bring some of the most talked-about shows on TV to subscribers. The flexibility of on demand technology is ideal for viewers wanting to discover, catch up, or revisit with, these must-see series."

With around 3000 TV shows, films and music and sports features from over 100 providers, BT Vision customers enjoy a vast range of film, sport, music and television programming available on-demand, as well as interactive services and all the Freeview channels, all available on the TV, with no compulsory subscription. This unique combination - delivered on a software platform powered by Microsoft and through a set-top box made by Philips, allows customers choice, control and convenience.
