CADBURY SCHWEPPES LAUNCHES AN ONLINE CHAT ROOM FOR GRADUATE APPLICANTS
31 Oct 07
Cadbury Schweppes, the world's largest confectionery company, has launched its 2008 UK graduate recruitment campaign with a new chat room on their website to offer potential recruits the opportunity to chat online with the graduate recruitment team and current graduates in the company.
Today graduates have a higher expectation of being able to use social networking as a primary source of information and communication. Cadbury Schweppes has therefore created a pioneering, easy to use site that provides all the tools graduates need to gain insights into the company and the graduate recruitment process.
Building on the success of their graduate blogs in 2005 and an MP3 download in 2006, the facility allows potential applicants to talk live online with current graduates and graduate recruitment advisers in a custom built chat room. The chat room sessions are advertised on the graduate recruitment calendar and the team currently have scheduled over 8 hours to be live online dedicated to chat to interested graduates.
Susan Coen the Graduate Resourcing Adviser for Cadbury Schweppes comments, 'We have introduced the live chat room to our website as we are keen to embrace any new technology which can improve the candidate experience when researching our company as a potential future employer".
So far topics in the chat room have been very varied and have ranged from questions on the application process, the benefits package offered, the types of roles available in certain functions and examples of the types of social events we may do in the company.
Cadbury Schweppes is looking to recruit 20 graduates to its 2008 intake. Interested applicants can apply online on the UK Graduate recruitment website
