Demonstration for Interop Europe
PARIS, France, Oct. 20, 1993 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., France Telecom and
Thomson today announced that the three companies are planning to show an
SMDS/ATM interoperability demonstration at Interop Europe 93 (Paris, Oct.
27-29).
In the demonstration, Cisco AGS+ routers will be connected to Thomson's
Thomflex ATM switches and will run LAN traffic over a public CBDS
(Connectionless Broadband Data Service), service operated and managed by
France Telecom.
As France's eighth largest enterprise in terms of revenue ($25.8
billion in 1992), France Telecom is now the world's fourth largest

Cisco Systems Products to Be Distributed By Ameritech
MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 12, 1993 -- Cisco Systems, Inc., announced
today that its internetworking products, including multiprotocol routers and
internetworking servers, will be distributed by Ameritech, a provider of
full-service communications and advanced information services.
Under the agreement, Ameritech will offer Cisco Systems' products
in the five-state Ameritech region, which includes Ohio, Illinois,
Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin, in conjunction with Ameritech's wide- and
local-area network integration and remote network management services.
