THE COCA-COLA COMPANY ELECTS IRIAL FINAN EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT; BOARD OF DIRECTORS DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

The Board of Directors of The Coca-Cola Company today elected Irial Finan as executive vice president of the Company.
Separately, the Board of Directors today declared a regular quarterly dividend of 25 cents per common share. The dividend is payable on December 15, 2004, to share owners of record as of December 1, 2004.
In June, Mr. Finan was named president of Bottling Investments, a newly established position responsible for managing the Company's equity investments in bottler operations and overseeing the operations of Company-owned bottlers around the world. Mr. Finan reports directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Neville Isdell.
Mr. Finan has served in positions of increasing responsibility in the Coca-Cola system since 1981. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Finan served as chief executive officer of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company SA, during which time he managed the merger integration of Coca-Cola Beverages plc and Hellenic Bottling SA and led the combined company in 26 countries. From 1995 to 1999, he served as managing director of Molino Beverages, with responsibility for expanding markets including the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Romania, Moldova, Russia and Nigeria. Prior to that, Mr. Finan worked in several markets across Europe. Mr. Finan is also a non-executive director of Eircom plc, and chairman of that company's Audit Committee.
