WHY DRINK BOTTLED WATER?
WHY DRINK BOTTLED WATER?
New Zealand,
October
06, 2004 -
The idea of water from faraway Alps or glaciers may have snobbery value for a few but New Zealanders needn't look any further than the central North Island for some of the best quality water in the world.
Consumer research shows that purity and taste are important reasons many Kiwis reach for a bottle rather than the tap but the most valuable attribute is its source.
Kiwi Blue is bottled at the Blue Spring. Rain which falls in the heart of the Kaimai Ranges permeates ancient rocks and after a natural filtration process that lasts up to fifty years, the water pushes its way to the surface from a labyrinth of aquifers. It emerges so pure it is crystal clear with an azure blue tint - providing water that is crisp and fresh.
While trends show an ever-increasing number of people are choosing to drink bottled water, New Zealanders' consumption is still far lower than that of countries such as Canada, Great Britain, Ireland or Australia*. In these countries bottled water is often chosen as a healthy beverage choice to accompany meals whether at home or not. Currently in New Zealand, most people purchase bottled water when they are out and about.
The Kiwi Blue brand has been relaunched with new packaging that resembles the movement of water and has a fresh contemporary logo. It is available in distinctive 1.5 litre and 600ml packs, with the addition of a 1.5 litre sparkling option.
New advertising for the brand shows Kiwi Blue's amazing source and positions it as being a great choice for families to enjoy at home and with meals. Kiwi Blue has a flat cap and a unique, functional bottle.
The recommended retail price for Kiwi Blue at New Zealand supermarkets is f$2.50 for 1.5L and f$2 for the 600ml pack.
Kiwi Blue is a registered trademark of The Coca-Cola Company.
