April 4, 2005 -- San Jose, Calif., -- eBay, The World's Online Marketplace®, today announced open registration for its fourth annual Developers Conference held June 21-22, 2005, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. Preceding eBay Live! 2005, eBay's annual community conference and 10th anniversary celebration, the event brings together members of eBay and PayPal developer communities to learn new ways to spur business growth and innovation by tapping into the eBay and PayPal platforms.
"eBay is made up of a dynamic and diverse community of buyers and sellers, individuals and small businesses, all of whom play an essential role in the eBay marketplace," said Greg Isaacs, director of eBay Developers Program. "The tens of thousands of developers using the eBay and PayPal platforms to create new tools and services enhance the buying, selling and payment experience for eBay and PayPal users. This year's conference, themed 'The Power of All of Us,' promises exciting new opportunities for eBay and PayPal developer communities."
The event will kick off on Tuesday, June 21, with an executive keynote and program news from the eBay Developers Program and PayPal Developer Network. Developers new to the eBay and PayPal platforms can attend the Pre-Conference Workshop on Monday, June 20, for an introduction to eBay and PayPal application development and an overview of the eBay Web Services architecture. The Pre-Conference Workshop will provide new developers with hands-on experience using API code in a sample end-to-end application. The Pre-Conference Workshop, taught by eBay and PayPal staff engineers, is designed to prepare new developers for the deeper level of technical content offered at the eBay Developers Conference.
Registration for the eBay Developers Conference includes access to keynote speeches, networking events, five different technical tracks, and admission to eBay Live! 2005 (June 23-25) and the eBay's 10th Anniversary celebration.
