It serves the upstream oil and gas industry throughout the lifecycle of the reservoir, from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production through the life of the field. The company operates in three divisions: Drilling, Evaluation, and Digital Solutions; Fluid Systems; and Production Optimization. The Drilling, Evaluation, and Digital Solutions division offers processes coupled with software and hardware solutions to enable visualize and simulate well activity, while its drilling tools, logging, and perforating technology enables optimal placement and production of the well. This division comprises Sperry drilling services, security DBS drill bits, wireline and perforating services, and landmark and project management. Sperry drilling services offers directional drilling, logging, and measurement-while-drilling, surface data logging, multilateral systems, real time optimization, and managed pressure drilling solutions for various reservoir needs. Through its security DBS drill bits product service line, Halliburton supplies roller cone and fixed cutter rock bits, coring equipment and services, and down hole tools. It landmark solutions integrate exploration, reservoir management, drilling, production, business-decision analysis, and data management. The Fluid Systems Division focuses on fluid management and technologies to assist in the drilling and construction of oil and gas wells. The Production Optimization division tests, measures, and provides means to manage and improve well production, immediately after a well is drilled or after it has been producing for some time. Halliburton Company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas with an additional headquarter in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. |

Innovative technologies to enhance the capabilities and economics of complex Sand control completions
ABERDEEN, Scotland - Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced today the delivery of three new screen solutions for sand control at the 2007 Offshore Europe Exhibition and Convention in Aberdeen, Scotland. These innovative solutions are: the EquiFlow™ Oil Selector™ valve, which is capable of significantly reducing unwanted water or gas production without wellbore intervention; EquiFlow™ inflow control devices, which delay early water or gas coning, thereby increasing recoverable reserves; and PetroGuard™ Advanced Mesh screen, which provides reliable sand control in heavy oil and poorly sorted sand environments.
"The industry is caught between the engineering challenges of increasingly complex completions and the need to reduce overall completion costs to improve well economics," said David King, senior vice president, Halliburton's Completion and Production Division. HALLIBURTON AWARDED $270 MILLION CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TESTING SERVICES TO PETROBRAS
HOUSTON - Halliburton's (NYSE: HAL) Completion and Production division has been awarded a four-year contract valued at more than (USD) $270 million by Petrobras Brazil. Halliburton will be working jointly with Expro to provide exploration and development testing services in high pressure, high temperature (HP/HT) and deepwater environments. The work will be done throughout Brazil and serviced from Halliburton operations in Macaé in southern Brazil and Mossoró in northern Brazil to optimize provision efficiencies.
Under this contract Halliburton is providing all services related to reservoir information for land-based and offshore Petrobras projects. The testing operations to be performed include provision of standard-bore and large-bore drillstem testing tools. Expro is providing ocean floor packages and surface testing equipment.
"This contract is a continuation of Halliburton's reservoir testing preferred service provider status with Petrobras," said Jerry Wauters, a vice president within Halliburton's Completion and Production division. "Together, Halliburton and Expro have had the opportunity to demonstrate our strong commitment to Petrobras for a number of years while providing our leading testing technology and working with them on exploratory prospects in challenging HP/HT and deepwater offshore environments."
Greg Hoenes, director, Western Hemisphere, Expro, said: "The strength of the combined effort between Halliburton and Expro is validated by this contract. Our subsea landing strings and safety systems, high-endurance chokes, and expert onsite analysis capabilities combined with Halliburton's integrated approach to reservoir testing and analysis means Petrobras will benefit from properly characterized reservoirs and booking the value of their assets with confidence."
