HALLIBURTON AWARDED FLUIDS CONTRACT BY STATOIL
2006 Press Releases FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 30, 2006 HALLIBURTON AWARDED FLUIDS CONTRACT BY STATOIL HOUSTON, Texas – Halliburton’s (NYSE: HAL) Fluid Systems Division has been awarded contracts by Statoil valued in excess of $193 million for cementing services and drilling and completion fluids.  The initial contract duration is two years with additional extension options of three two-year periods. The fluids, pumping and cementing services will be supplied by the bases at Dusavik, near Stavanger; Florø, north of Bergen; Kristiansund, in western Norway; Norne, in the north of Norway; and Hammerfest, in the far northern Norway. The Scope of Work includes drilling fluids and drilling waste management, cementing services and completion fluids and pumping services in the following fields: Sleipner/Volve, Visund, Snorre, Tordis/Vigdis, Tyrihans, Heidrun, Åsgard and exploration drilling. In addition, the contract includes the cementing services and completion fluids and pumping services in the following fields: Statfjord, Statfjord satellites, Gullfaks satellites, Kvitebjørn/Valemon and the cementing services in the Norne field.
