Tokyo, November 16, 2000 - "We are very honored that the Civic, Civic Ferio and Stream have jointly earned the prestigious 2000-2001 Japan 'Car of the Year' award.
Based on Honda's newly developed global compact platform and next generation powertrains, the Civic, Civic Ferio and Stream have been developed to offer cleaner, environmentally friendly performance, together with advanced safety, to set a new global benchmark for compact cars in the 21st century. Most importantly, these models have each been highly evaluated and well received by our customers since their introduction to the market this fall.
We accept this award both as recognition of our development concept and new technologies and as appreciation for the great efforts of Honda suppliers and business affiliates who support our efforts." |
