Telia Mobile Finland picks Nokia to provide its multimedia messaging and service charging solutions December 30, 2002  Nokia and Telia Mobile Finland have agreed on the supply of a complete Nokia multimedia messaging service (MMS) solution, as well as the Nokia Charging Center (NCC) for state-of-the-art charging for services.  The MMS system is already in use with Telia Mobile Finland's commercial MMS service.   The MMS solution provided by Nokia includes the Nokia Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC), the Nokia Multimedia Terminal Gateway for support of non-MMS phones, as well as the Nokia WAP Gateway and the Nokia Profiler Server.   In addition Nokia will provide system implementation, integration and care services to maintain the competitiveness of the MMS solution ...

Orange Denmark picks Nokia's MMS solution
Orange Denmark picks Nokia's MMS solution December 20, 2002 Nokia and Orange A/S in Denmark have agreed on the supply of Nokia's multimedia messaging service (MMS) solution to bring Orange's Danish customers the latest in mobile services.  The end-to-end Nokia solution gives mobile users the chance to enjoy advanced person-to-person messaging that blends text, images, graphics, voice and audio clips into a single message.   The agreement calls for the supply of a complete MMS solution, including the Nokia MMS Center, the Nokia Multimedia Terminal Gateway for non-MMS phones, the Nokia WAP Gateway, the Nokia Terminal Management Server and the Nokia Profile Server.   The Nokia solution has been delivered and is fully operational.   In addition to the MMS platform, Nokia is providing operator services for implementation, Help-Desk, Emergency Support, software and hardware support and maintenance to ensure and maintain the competitiveness of the MMS solution.  Operations support systems (OSS) support is also included.   "Nokia's solution and service support commitment will give Orange Denmark an early market offering of new and innovative messaging services," says Richard Moat, CEO, Orange Denmark.  "We are confident that our customers are ready for the new - and fun -- opportunities that MMS will bring." "We are happy to expand and deepen our long-term relationship with Orange with this important deal," says Pertti Melamies, Senior Vice President, Nokia Networks.  "We are fully committed to support Orange to make the mobile multimedia messaging a complete success in Denmark, paving the way to 3G." Nokia has among the wireless industry's most extensive track record in MMS with over 40 customers to date and an ever-growing number of launched systems, making multimedia messaging a reality for today's mobile consumers. Nokia is the world leader in mobile communications ...
