Global Technology Company Selects mySAP™ CRM for Single, Integrated View of Customer Service and Sales
ANAHEIM, Calif. - December 08, 2003 - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Varian, Inc. has selected mySAP™ Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) to enhance the effectiveness of its customer service and sales activities and to standardize processes across its global business units. Varian, Inc.'s selection of the newest version of mySAP CRM follows an extensive evaluation process and is based on the solution's ability to integrate information previously housed in different legacy systems. With the selection, Varian, Inc. joins the growing number of companies opting for the superior integration capabilities and lower total cost of ownership provided by mySAP CRM over the limited point solutions from traditional CRM providers.

Sales representatives in the field and call center representatives will have more ability to generate real-time quotes, based on the solution's ability to integrate with Varian, Inc.'s back-end systems, financial reporting and other operating information. Mobile sales capabilities support the field sales force with up-to-the-minute, customer-specific information to respond to customer needs and answer important questions while at the customer site. mySAP CRM also will allow Varian, Inc. to reach customers with more relevant and timely marketing materials.
