Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc.
(TMMI) donated $40,000 to the Gibson County Youth Soccer Complex. "The
dream is becoming a reality because of contributions from companies interested
in the youth of our community," said Dr. Satar, President of the Gibson
County Youth Soccer League.
The donation for the Gibson County Youth Soccer Complex will be used for concession
stands, restrooms, drinking fountains, goals, field equipment, fencing and lighting.
"TMMI has a very strong commitment to youth and education in Gibson County,"
said Seizo Okamoto, President and CEO of TMMI. "We are happy to be part
of this project."
The Gibson County Youth Soccer serves children ages 5 to 14 in Gibson County
with teams from Fort Branch, Haubstadt, Oakland City, Owensville, and Princeton.
The 40-acre soccer complex is located one mile east of Toyota and consists of
nine high school size fields and one official collegiate size field. The children
will start playing on the new fields in early spring 2004.
