Toyota Reports All-Time Best-Ever November For Certified Used Vehicle Sales
Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported best-ever November sales of Toyota Certified Used Vehicles and posted its 11th consecutive month of 11,000-plus sales.
November sales of Toyota Certified Used Vehicles totaled 12,094, an increase of 7.1 percent over November 1999. Calendar-year-to-date sales total 142,910, up 26,456 units compared to the same period last year.
"The early warning signs that the economy is beginning to moderate seems to have had no impact on consumer confidence or used vehicle sales," said Ron Broughman, TMS corporate manager, used vehicle operations department. "Our sales momentum continues to grow and we are looking forward to a record Toyota Certified Used Vehicle sales year."
The Toyota Certified Used Vehicle program, established in 1996, continues to be one of the best in the industry. The Certified warranty, from date of first use, includes six-year, 100,000-mile limited powertrain coverage, as well as an optional comprehensive 100,000-mile vehicle service agreement. And, 24-hour roadside assistance also is provided free of charge for one year.
All 1995-2000 Toyota models with less than 65,000 miles are now eligible for the program. Prior to sale, each vehicle receives a rigorous 128-point inspection of all mechanical and safety functions, as well as overall appearance considerations.
