19/07/2004 : Unilever today confirmed that Rachid Mohammed Rachid, Business President North Africa, Middle East & Turkey (NAMET), was this week appointed to the Government of Egypt as Minister of Industry & Foreign Trade.
He has already taken up his new position and as a consequence, has forthwith relinquished his role as Business President and all other positions held within the Unilever Group.Doug Baillie will assume overall responsibility for NAMET operations in addition to his existing role as Business President Africa Regional Group ...

Anthonie Stal succeeds Anthony Simon as President Marketing Foods Division
26/04/2004 : Anthony Simon, currently President Marketing Foods Division, will retire on 1 August from Unilever after 36 years of distinguished service to Unilever and Bestfoods.

Unilever to convert €0.05 N.V. preference shares during Q1 2005
24/03/2004 : Unilever announced today that it intends to exercise its option to convert its €0.05 N.V. preference shares into ordinary Unilever N.V. shares during the first quarter of 2005. The conversion will follow the terms stipulated in the original information memorandum and in Unilever’s Articles of Association.

Unilever agrees sale of Mexican edible oil business
09/03/2004 : Unilever Mexico has agreed to sell its edible oils and white fats business to a Mexican subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc, for US$110 million cash. Subject to regulatory approval, the transaction is expected to be completed within two months.
