Yahoo! Makes Car Buying Easier With New Online Car-Buying Merchant Program

Yahoo! Makes Car Buying Easier With New Online Car-Buying Merchant Program Yahoo! Teams Up with Autoweb.com and CarPoint for One-Button Access to Buying Cars

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Dec. 2, 1997 -- Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) today introduced a convenient, new way to buy cars - through merchant buttons on Yahoo! Autos (autos.yahoo.com), Yahoo!'s comprehensive, free resource for information on buying, selling and researching new and used cars. Providing users with easy access to shop for and purchase cars, Yahoo!® Autos' button program launches with Microsoft® CarPoint™ and Autoweb.com.

"Yahoo! continues to bring users together with online merchants to provide added value for both groups," said Ellen Siminoff, vice president of business development at Yahoo!. "With the new Yahoo! Autos online merchant program, people looking for cars now have a quick and convenient way to buy a car, and merchants have access to a large audience of self-qualified buyers."

Yahoo! Autos -- One-Stop Shop for Car Shopping
Yahoo! Autos is the ideal resource for anyone looking to buy a new or used car. With Yahoo! Autos, car shoppers can use the new car guide from AutoSite to get new car prices, photos, specifications and features. Yahoo! Autos also provides a "Compare Two Cars" service that allows users to compare two different new cars side-by-side, feature-by-feature and get a clearer sense of what one car offers over the other. To supplement new car information, Yahoo!'s used car guide by Edmund's provides trade-in and market prices, ratings and recall information for used cars.

Once a specific type of car has been decided upon, individuals looking for a used car can go to Yahoo! Classifieds (classifieds.yahoo.com) and browse through the listings of cars for sale by individuals and dealerships across the nation - free of charge. People looking to sell their cars can also post an ad for free on Yahoo! Classifieds.

For those wanting to buy a new car, the new auto merchant buttons offer a convenient way to buy a new car at an attractive price without having to negotiate with a sales person or find a nearby dealer with the right car in stock. From Yahoo! Autos, users have one-button access directly to leading online auto merchants for a fast and easy car purchasing experience.

In addition, Yahoo! Autos also offers links to Yahoo! Yellow Pages for the location and contact information for automotive-related businesses within a local area as well as access to the Yahoo! directory for more auto-related information and Web resources.
