Yahoo! Expands Global Commerce Offerings - Opens Doors to One-Stop Shopping in Europe and the Asia Pacific

As the global
countdown to the new millennium continues, Yahoo! is further
enabling shoppers worldwide to ring up the New Year in style.
Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) today announced that it has expanded
its Yahoo!® Shopping service to Yahoo!'s World properties
in the UK & Ireland, France, Germany, Korea, Japan, and Australia
& New Zealand, further growing its network of e-commerce
services around the world. Earlier this year, Yahoo! also broadened
its Yahoo! Auctions offerings to 16 countries and 11 languages
around the world, making Yahoo! Auctions the fastest-growing,
largest globally-branded network of localized auctions services.

According to market research firm International Data Corporation
(IDC), non-U.S. Internet commerce will account for almost half
of worldwide online spending by 2003. IDC reports by the end
of 1999, almost 60 percent of the world's online population will
reside outside the United States, and non-U.S. Internet commerce
will explode from 26 percent of worldwide e-commerce spending
